About The Position

Ryder is immediately hiring a permanent, full-time Case Picker to support its facility in Tracy, California. The role supports warehouse fulfillment and distribution of grocery items. The position pays $22.16 per hour and involves picking products and cases, preparing pallets, operating material-handling equipment, and assisting with inventory activities. Ryder describes the facility as a safety-focused supply chain environment with state-of-the-art equipment and provides on-the-job paid training and safety gear.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One or more years of previous warehouse experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Adequate math skills.
• Ability to recognize and read location codes and product codes.
• Meet and exceed established Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to create and maintain professional relationships across all organizational levels, including peers, work groups, customers, and supervisors.
• Ability to multitask; highly organized, with excellent time-management skills.
• Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices.
• Some positions may require additional screening, which can include employment and education verification, motor vehicle records checks and a road test, and/or customer badging or background requirements.

Responsibilities

• Pick products and cases.
• Palletize, hand stack, and stretch-wrap products as required.
• Safely operate material-handling equipment.
• Assist with cycle counting and inventory control as required.
• Assist in resolving inventory discrepancies as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
