About The Position

The Warehouse Associate, also known as a Material Handler or Returnable Plastic Container (RPC) Sorter, hand-sorts reusable plastic containers weighing about 10 ounces that are used to ship produce, eggs, meat, and other goods. The role supports site efficiency and accurate performance by sorting containers and preparing them for return to customers and shipment. The position is located in Hammond, Louisiana, and pays $17.00 per hour. The scheduled shift is Friday through Monday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Requirements

• High school degree or GED.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work overtime when needed.

Responsibilities

• Hand-stack RPCs on pallets to the appropriate height according to inventory control instructions.
• Examine products to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Remove all trash and debris before containers are returned to the customer.
• Wrap sorted pallets and secure them for shipment.
• Move pallets or materials on pallets or in crates around the storage facility.
• Accurately complete paperwork to track daily progress.
• Communicate regularly with the Shift Lead or On-Site Manager.
