About The Position

As a Pallet Sorter, you will hand sort pallets in a distribution facility while maintaining high levels of safety and cleanliness. The role supports customer production and involves handling pallets and materials, checking product quality and load security, coordinating trailer moves, and completing production paperwork. The position is located in Opelousas, Louisiana, and pays $17.00 per hour. The scheduled shifts are Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, and Sunday from 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

Requirements

• High school degree or GED required.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work overtime when needed.

Responsibilities

• Hand stack pallets to appropriate heights.
• Load and unload materials from trailers by hand.
• Move pallets or materials on pallets or in crates around the distribution center.
• Check loads to ensure they are secure.
• Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards.
• Coordinate trailer moves within the yard management system.
• Accurately complete production paperwork to track progress.
• Communicate regularly with the Shift Lead or On-Site Manager.
