About The Position

Steinhafels Furniture has an immediate opening for a Warehouse Associate at its Bolingbrook Distribution Center. The role supports warehouse and distribution operations by loading and unloading furniture from trucks, assembling furniture, and assisting customers with merchandise pick-ups. The position may involve occasional use of forklifts or other machinery, as well as use of a variety of power tools. Other duties may be assigned by management.

This is a full-time position with a Tuesday–Saturday schedule. The starting pay is $17.50 per hour, with the potential to earn an additional $1.50 per hour through a perfect attendance bonus. Steinhafels is an employee-owned, family-run company founded in 1934. Benefits are available based on eligibility.

Requirements

• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented atmosphere.
• Flexibility to adapt as priorities change.
• Ability to contribute in multiple areas of the Distribution Center.
• Ability to walk and bend frequently.
• Ability to lift furniture weighing between 15 and 150 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload furniture in and out of trucks.
• Load furniture into delivery trucks.
• Assemble furniture.
• Assist customers in the merchandise pick-up department.
• Use forklifts or other machinery occasionally, as needed.
• Use a variety of power tools.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
