About The Position

Steinhafels Furniture is hiring a Warehouse Associate at its Bolingbrook Distribution Center. The associate works with the team to load and unload furniture from trucks, assemble furniture, and assist customers with merchandise pickups. The role may involve occasional use of forklifts or other machinery and requires the ability to use a variety of power tools. It is a full-time position with a Tuesday–Saturday schedule. Starting pay is $17.50 per hour, with the potential to earn an additional $1.50 per hour through a perfect attendance bonus.

Requirements

• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team atmosphere.
• Flexibility as priorities change.
• Ability to contribute in multiple areas of the Distribution Center.
• Ability to walk and bend frequently.
• Ability to lift furniture weighing 15 to 150 pounds.
• Ability to use a variety of power tools.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload furniture in and out of trucks.
• Assemble furniture.
• Assist customers in the merchandise pickup department.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
• Use forklifts or other machinery occasionally, as needed.
