Warehouse Associate 2PM - 10:30PM
About The Position
Steiner Electric is seeking a positive, ambitious, outgoing Warehouse Associate to support sales personnel and provide service to customers. The role involves handling inventory and processing customer orders accurately and efficiently, including receiving, storing, protecting, picking, packing, shipping, and loading products. Associates also perform housekeeping and other assigned warehouse tasks, use computer equipment as required, cut wire when needed, and shovel snow when needed. The position is at the Elk Grove location and is scheduled from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM. Steiner Electric is a family-owned electrical supply company founded in 1916, serving customers in Northern Illinois, Northwest Indiana, and Southeast Wisconsin. Requirements
- High school graduate.
- Two years of warehouse experience.
- Ability to become forklift certified; previous forklift experience is preferred.
- Prior experience working with a computerized system.
- Fluent English verbal and written communication.
- Ability to stand on a concrete surface for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, including large bulky items.
- Ability to perform bending and twisting motions.
- Ability to push and pull fully loaded manual pallet jacks and carts.

- Previous forklift experience.
Responsibilities
- Complete assigned order-picking, order-packing, receiving, shipping, and truck-loading tasks accurately and promptly.
- Perform general housekeeping tasks as assigned and maintain clean, neat work areas.
- Learn to use and complete work with computer equipment as required by the job assignment.
- Cut wire when required.
- Shovel snow when required.
- Act responsibly and safely in the warehouse at all times.
- Comply with company policies and work rules.
