About The Position

The Dispatcher ensures efficient transportation of shipments through the company vehicle fleet and local agent network while meeting company and customer requirements and maintaining safety and quality standards. The role coordinates shipment collections, deliveries, drop-offs, and recoveries with internal departments, offices, agents, and drivers. It involves tracking shipments, maintaining accurate system records and documentation, coordinating airport activity, and supporting shipment handling and vehicle readiness. The schedule is Friday through Tuesday, 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Requirements

Experience with airfreight operations, import/export operations, and related regulatory requirements, including TSA, U.S. CBP, and FDA.
Decision-making and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality.
Excellent communication skills.
Must be a U.S. citizen or national, a lawful permanent resident, or an alien authorized to work in the United States for this employer.

Responsibilities

Coordinate collections, deliveries, drop-offs, and recoveries with other departments, Marken offices, agents, and drivers.
Communicate with the Packaging Team to ensure supplies are available for shipment activities.
Condition shipments as required.
Create appropriate route legs according to the service.
Provide agents and Marken drivers with documentation for shipment activities.
Track every shipment using the Dispatch Maestro Wiki report.
Verify recoveries and received shipments against the manifest; place shipments in the required temperature conditions and replenish as needed.
Ensure agents and Marken drivers update shipment information through the XMaestro mobile app.
Inspect vehicles periodically to confirm they are in proper condition.
Expedite dispatch of NFO shipments immediately after collection and alert the receiving agent or office.
Notify relevant departments, agents, or Marken offices of discrepancies and update Maestro accordingly.
Update the Tableau board.
Upload documents to the system in a timely manner.
Download TT4s in the system in a timely manner.
Enter delay codes and notes in Maestro.
Update the dispatch turnover spreadsheet for the next shift.
Confirm and print pickup emails.
Communicate with Export and Import regarding airport recoveries and drops.
Maintain awareness of driver and LSP locations.
Replenish local deliveries as necessary.
Pay for import shipments.
Create pickup orders for airlines.
Review the Route Leg alert screen in Maestro.
Operate a forklift.
Coordinate warehouse and airport-related work.
