About The Position

The Warehouse Associate loads, unloads, and moves materials within or near a plant, yard, or work site. The role uses equipment such as forklifts, hand trucks, and electric pallet jacks, as appropriate, and involves following written work orders or oral instructions. The position is based at the Teton Distributors primary location in Rock Springs, Wyoming. The associate also records materials handled, labels and organizes cases or bundles, and performs housekeeping and grounds maintenance for the warehouse and sales center offices. Company-provided uniforms and safety equipment must be worn. Other duties may be assigned by a supervisor.

Responsibilities

Load and unload materials onto or from trucks, pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand or with a forklift, hand truck, or electric pallet jack, as appropriate.
Read work orders or follow oral instructions to determine which materials or containers to move.
Load materials into vehicles to prevent shifting or damage during transit.
Convey materials from storage sites to designated loading areas.
Count and record the number of units moved or handled, along with breakage and spoilage, on the appropriate sheets.
Attach identifying tags or labels to materials or mark information on cases and other containers.
Stack or assemble materials into bundles and wrap bundles together.
Perform housekeeping and grounds maintenance for the warehouse and sales center offices.
Wear company-provided uniform and safety equipment.
Perform other duties as assigned by a supervisor.
