Warehouse Associate 2nd Shift - Minneapolis
About The Position
Viking Electric is hiring a full-time warehouse associate in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The role supports customer service by accurately picking orders, preparing products, and getting them ready for delivery or storage. The associate works in a positive, fast-paced warehouse environment with a supportive team, handling incoming and outgoing materials and helping maintain organized, safe inventory. The schedule is 1 p.m. to 9 p.m., Sunday through Thursday, with overtime as needed. Hourly pay is $22.50–$26.00, with placement within the range based on experience and skills. Compensation also includes a short-term incentive bonus and full benefits.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Be able to regularly lift, push, and pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds, or up to 75 pounds with assistance from supportive equipment or team members.
- Be able to stand and walk for much of the shift.
- Have basic math skills, including adding and subtracting numbers.
- Be willing to learn to operate equipment such as a forklift and handheld scanning device; training is provided.
- Be able to work in various temperatures within the warehouse.
- Be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload trucks and move boxes and materials safely using warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, handcarts, cherry pickers, walking riders, reach trucks, and EZGo carts.
- Count, check, and record items received into or shipped out of the warehouse.
- Use a handheld device to scan barcodes and labels to track inventory levels.
- Assemble, package, label, stack, palletize, and route materials for safe delivery or storage.
- Keep products free from damage and organized.
- Follow and promote procedures that keep the warehouse safe and secure.
