Warehouse Associate, Bailey Road - Flex
About The Position
As a Warehouse Colleague, you will support a seamless, customer-focused experience by receiving, storing, picking, packing, sorting, and shipping merchandise. You will handle items carefully, follow safety practices, and help keep the warehouse clean, organized, and running smoothly. The role contributes to on-time delivery and excellent service while fostering a positive, respectful, and supportive workplace. Full-time colleagues are typically scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week, and part-time colleagues are typically scheduled 12–24 hours per week. Hours depend on business needs and colleague availability.
Requirements
- No education or experience is required.
- Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with regular, reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work as a flexible team player in a fast-paced environment, switch between multiple tasks, and work various shifts.
- Ability to read and interpret instructional documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing customer expectations and needs.
- Proficiency using computers and handheld technology.
- Ability to understand and communicate effectively with customers, coworkers, and supervisors.
- Ability to read and understand employment policies and safety rules and procedures in English.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload cartons and merchandise from and to delivery trucks, conveyor systems, and other equipment.
- Lift, carry, push, and pull packages on a continuous and repetitive basis.
- Complete processing, receiving, and shipping activities in a timely manner and in accordance with productivity standards.
- Accurately and efficiently enter data using PCs, handheld computers, radio frequency equipment, or similar devices, and learn area-specific functions across warehouse and proprietary systems.
- Perform job functions safely and promptly report accidents or safety hazards affecting safe operation to the safety committee.
- Begin shifts prepared by wearing a name badge, following the dress code, attending start-ups, checking work-area readiness, identifying support, and staying informed about daily goals.
- Prioritize customers by working with speed and accuracy, handling merchandise carefully, and packing customer orders thoughtfully and neatly.
- Build a respectful and supportive workplace by greeting coworkers, building trust, helping new teammates, and supporting colleagues.
- Finish shifts by tidying the workstation, returning equipment, replenishing supplies, and recognizing coworkers' contributions.
- Foster acceptance and respect and strengthen relationships with colleagues, customers, and communities.
