About The Position

The Housekeeping Associate is responsible for keeping common areas clean in a distribution center and performing other duties as assigned. The role includes cleaning indoor areas and outdoor spaces, with possible snow removal, and requires dependable attendance and punctuality. Full-time colleagues are typically scheduled for 30 or more hours per week; hours depend on business needs and colleague availability.

Requirements

• No education or experience is required.
• Communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and supervisors.
• Read, understand, and interpret employment policies, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals in English.
• Work independently and as part of a team; be a resourceful self-starter.
• Be proficient in using computers and handheld technology.
• Work a flexible schedule that may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Meet the physical requirements of prolonged standing or walking and frequently lifting or moving up to 50 pounds.
• For colleagues at covered supply-chain facilities, comply with random monthly or semi-monthly drug testing; testing must be completed within 24 hours of notification, absent extenuating circumstances.

Responsibilities

• Clean the cafeteria, including emptying garbage containers.
• Clean outdoor areas, including possible snow removal.
• Clean office areas by vacuuming, dusting, and removing garbage.
• Sweep and buff floors.
• Clean restrooms according to appropriate bloodborne-pathogen guidelines.
• Clean up and properly dispose of blood or other potentially infectious material spills.
• Maintain regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Foster an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships and supports authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
