About The Position

The Warehouse Associate works in the Production department and supports The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center through warehouse and merchandise-processing work. The role helps provide a positive shopping and donor experience and contributes to the success of the Adult Rehabilitation Program. The employee sorts and inspects products, identifies merchandise and directs it to the appropriate department, and transports materials safely. The role follows Salvation Army policies and government safety regulations and may perform other duties assigned by the Production Manager, Administrator, or their designated representative. Work schedules are determined by management to maintain adequate store coverage; stores operate seven days per week. The posting states that part-time associates may be scheduled for evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent.
Demonstrated competency in the skill area, supported by verifiable training and/or experience.
Ability to read and write and to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist intermittently or continuously.
Ability to grasp, push, and pull objects.
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
Ability to perform repetitive-motion tasks.

Responsibilities

Sort products efficiently and properly according to Salvation Army policy.
Inspect products for defects and damage as part of quality assurance.
Identify products correctly and direct them to the proper department for processing.
Collect merchandise from the distribution center and transport materials safely.
Follow safety measures established and maintained under Salvation Army policy and government regulations.
Maintain confidentiality as needed for the operation of the program.
Perform other written or verbal duties assigned by the Production Manager, Administrator, or their designated representative.
