About The Position

The Warehouse Associate works in the Production Department at The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center’s retail operation. The role supports the rehabilitation program by sorting and inspecting donated products, identifying products and routing them to the appropriate department, and collecting and transporting merchandise from the distribution center. The associate must follow Salvation Army policies and government safety regulations, maintain confidentiality when required, and perform other duties as assigned. Schedules are determined by management to ensure store coverage; stores operate seven days per week.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent.
Demonstrated competency in the relevant skill area through verifiable training and/or experience.
Ability to read and write and understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist intermittently or continuously.
Ability to grasp, push, and pull objects.
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
Ability to perform repetitive-motion tasks.
Flexibility to work schedules determined by management to ensure adequate store coverage.

Responsibilities

Sort products efficiently and properly according to Salvation Army policy.
Inspect products for defects and damage as part of quality assurance.
Identify products and direct them to the proper department for processing.
Collect merchandise from the distribution center and safely transport materials.
Follow safety measures established by Salvation Army policy and government regulations.
Maintain confidentiality as needed for operation of the program.
Obtain written supervisor approval for overtime; the supervisor’s initials must appear on the timecard beside overtime hours.
Perform other written or verbal duties assigned by the Production Manager, Administrator, or designated representative.
