About The Position

Daimler Truck North America is hiring a part-time Warehouse Associate in Buford, Georgia. The role involves physically demanding manufacturing work supporting the assembly of heavy-duty trucks, following standardized work procedures, and using machinery and assembly tools. The scheduled hours are Monday through Friday, either 6:00 a.m.–10:00 a.m. or 7:00 a.m.–11:00 a.m. The position is onsite and offers starting pay of $25.92 per hour. Relocation assistance is not available.

Requirements

• Be capable of repetitive hand manipulation, grasping, and supporting power tools.
• Be able to stand on concrete for the entire shift and perform repetitive bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, and lifting up to 45 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive or trucking.
• Previous mechanical experience.
• High school diploma or GED; further college education is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform manufacturing duties involving repetitive processes, moderate to heavy lifting, machinery, and standardized work procedures.
• Participate in improving safety, quality, attendance, productivity, suggestion activities, housekeeping, and throughput in the work area.
• Install and assemble components for heavy-duty trucks.
• Use computer systems to access assembly-related company data and work with drawings, bills of materials, and specification sheets in electronic and hard-copy formats.
• Operate jigs and fixtures, pneumatic tools, and DC tools for fasteners and truck assembly.
• Maintain a clean work area and meet quality standards.
• Implement continuous improvement measures.
• Cross-train on other jobs as required.
