About The Position

Daimler Truck North America is hiring a part-time Warehouse Associate to perform physically demanding manufacturing work assembling components for heavy-duty trucks. The role involves repetitive processes, moderate to heavy lifting, machinery use, and following standardized work procedures. Associates use computer systems and consult drawings, bills of materials, and specification sheets in electronic and hard-copy formats. The position is onsite in Buford, Georgia, and operates Monday through Friday on one of two schedules: 6:00 a.m.–10:00 a.m. or 7:00 a.m.–11:00 a.m. Starting pay is $25.92 per hour. Relocation assistance is not available.

Requirements

Be capable of repetitive hand manipulation, grasping, and supporting power tools.
Be able to stand on concrete for the entire shift.
Be able to perform repetitive bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, and lifting up to 45 pounds.
Maintain a clean work area and meet quality standards.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly automotive or trucking.
Previous mechanical experience.
High school diploma or GED; further college education is a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform physically demanding manufacturing duties involving repetitive processes, moderate to heavy lifting, and machinery use.
Follow standardized work procedures.
Participate in improving safety, quality, attendance, productivity, suggestion activities, housekeeping, and throughput in the work area.
Install and assemble components for heavy-duty trucks.
Use computer systems to access company data associated with the assembly process.
Use drawings, bills of materials, and specification sheets in electronic and hard-copy formats.
Operate jigs and fixtures, pneumatic tools, and DC tools for fasteners and truck assembly.
Maintain a clean work area.
Meet quality standards and implement continuous improvement measures.
Cross-train on other jobs.
