Warehouse Associate- Old Pasadena
About The Position
The Warehouse Associate works in the Production Department at The Salvation Army’s Old Pasadena Thrift Store, which supports the Adult Rehabilitation Program. The role helps provide a positive shopping and donor experience while contributing to the success of the program and its participants. The associate sorts and inspects products, identifies items and routes them to the proper department, and collects and transports merchandise safely. The position follows Salvation Army policies and government safety regulations, maintains confidentiality when required, and may perform other duties assigned by the Production Manager, Administrator, or designated representative. The position pays $18.57 per hour and is listed as full-time. Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Demonstrated competency in the relevant skill area through verifiable training and/or experience.
- Ability to read and write and understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist intermittently or continuously.
- Ability to grasp, push, and pull objects.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to perform repetitive-motion tasks.
Responsibilities
- Sort products efficiently and properly according to Salvation Army policy.
- Inspect products for defects and damage as part of quality assurance.
- Identify products correctly and direct them to the proper department for processing.
- Collect merchandise from the distribution center and safely transport materials.
- Follow safety measures established and maintained by Salvation Army policy and government regulations.
- Maintain confidentiality as needed and required for operation of the program.
- Perform other written or verbal duties assigned by the Production Manager, Administrator, or their designated representative.
