About The Position

Imperial Beverage is hiring a full-time 3rd-shift Warehouse Associate focused on loading. The position works Monday through Thursday nights, starting at 8:00 p.m. and continuing until all orders for the next day have been loaded onto delivery trucks. Shift end times vary, and employees must be able to work at least 10 hours per day. Associates pick, verify, organize, palletize, label, and load beverage products, while working with a team and following delivery schedules. As employees learn the picking process, they may also train on loading duties and other jobs, with opportunities to develop and advance within the company. The role involves physical work, including repetitive lifting and carrying, and offers overtime opportunities. Imperial Beverage is a Michigan family-owned beverage distributor founded in 1933.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Basic computer skills for using an iPod and warehouse management software.
Flexibility to work varying shift end times.
Attention to detail and a sense of urgency to meet goals accurately.
Ability to lift and carry an average of 30 pounds repetitively and move up to 165 pounds.
Ability to work a minimum of 10 hours per day.
Ability to work well with a team and take initiative to train on multiple jobs.

Responsibilities

Arrive at the warehouse on time and ready to work.
Collect a pallet jack, scanner, and iPod.
Verify picked orders for product type and quantity, including checking names, dates, vintages, and varietals.
Build pallets according to the delivery schedule and truck weight.
Label products or wrapped pallets with identifying information such as store name and route number.
Follow the loading schedule to help ensure trucks leave on time.
Organize product returns and empty kegs according to truck routes.
Determine which trucks should be loaded with which products.
Assist with moving delivery trucks into truck bays for loading.
Load wrapped skids onto trucks using a forklift or pallet jack.
