About The Position

OnTrac is hiring a seasonal Warehouse Associate (described in the posting as a Seasonal Package Handler) to help move packages through its Romeoville, Illinois warehouse during the holiday season. This active, hands-on role involves working with a team to keep packages moving safely and on time. No previous warehouse experience is required; training is provided.

The position is seasonal and part-time, with a season duration from October 27, 2026, to January 1, 2027. The scheduled days are Saturday and Sunday, with a typical shift from 4:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. or until the sort ends. Hours and end times may vary with business needs and package volume. Pay is up to $21.90 per hour, comprising an $18.90 hourly rate plus a $3.00-per-hour shift differential for night weekend work. The role is eligible for overtime pay consistent with applicable law, and premium pay applies to hours worked on New Year’s Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. A seasonal bonus of $1,000 is advertised; eligibility, amount, and payment requirements may vary by location and assignment.

This is a temporary seasonal position. Seasonal employees may be considered for available permanent positions after the assignment ends, depending on eligibility and availability; continued employment is not guaranteed.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Be authorized to work in the United States.
• Be dependable and available for scheduled shifts, including weekends or holidays when needed.
• Meet applicable pre-employment requirements, including a background check where permitted by law.
• Be able to work scheduled shifts, including overtime when business needs require.
• Be able to repeatedly lift packages as described in the posting.
• Be able to stand and/or walk for extended periods during a scheduled shift.
• Be able to frequently bend, twist, reach, push, pull, and squat while handling packages.
• Be able to perform repetitive physical tasks throughout a shift.
• Be able to work in hot or cold environments where warehouse temperature control may be limited.

Responsibilities

• Safely unload, sort, move, and load packages weighing up to 30–50 pounds independently.
• Participate in team lifts for packages weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Keep packages organized and moving safely and efficiently.
• Keep the work area organized and ready for work.
• Work with a team to help packages reach their next destination safely and on time.
