About The Position

This position pays $18.65 per hour (including shift premium) with increases at 90 and 360 days if meeting expectations. The role involves pulling totes and/or packages from conveyor or pallet, verifying part number and quantity to be shipped, and confirming value-added services. It includes preparing and profiling unit loads according to material handling requirements, preparing packing slips, bills of lading/manifests, and labeling. The associate will select appropriate shipping containers and packing materials, print documents, package orders to prevent damage, and confirm shipments in the computer system. Occasional operation of shrink wrap machines, I-Pak machines, pallet jacks, or forklifts may be required with in-house certification. The position requires meeting or exceeding internal and external customer expectations for quality, cost, and on-time delivery, as well as meeting established quality and productivity goals. Active participation in job qualification audits and adherence to standard operating procedures are expected. Maintaining acceptable time and attendance, and availability for overtime as required, are also key. A positive, team-oriented attitude, collaboration, and cooperation are essential. The role involves accepting and embracing other duties as required, working independently with minimal supervision, working with a sense of urgency, and maintaining a positive attitude focused on desired results. Ensuring a safe working environment by adhering to policies and notifying management of hazards is crucial. Support for daily warehouse department metrics on safety, quality, delivery, and cost is required. Performing FOD and location maintenance to ensure 5S standards are maintained, and actively cross-training in other areas are also part of the role. This position requires use of information or access to hardware subject to ITAR, meaning the candidate must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee).

Requirements

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required.
• Prior warehouse experience is preferred.
• Energetic and goal focused.
• Effective English communication skills.
• Basic computer navigation and typing skills.
• Ability to count accurately and perform simple math.
• Ability to read English and comprehend simple written work instructions.
• Ability to lift, push, pull and move objects up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis using proper lifting techniques.
• Ability to twist, stoop, squat, bend, and reach on a frequent basis.
• Ability to sit, stand and/or walk for extended periods of time.
• Ability to climb ladders and stairs.
• May require an in-house material handling equipment license according to the type of equipment being operated and follow defined safety guidelines.
• Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee).

Responsibilities

• Pulls totes and/or packages from conveyor or pallet, verifies part number and quantity to be shipped.
• Confirms all requested value-added services have been completed.
• Profiles and prepares unit load according to material handling requirements for respective mode of transport.
• Prepares and completes required packing slip, shipment bill of lading / manifest, labeling, and any required specialized documentation.
• Selects appropriately sized shipping container and packing material.
• Prints required documents or labels.
• Packages orders to prevent damage.
• Moves completed order to conveyor or sorts material to pallets.
• Completes shipment confirmation in computer system.
• Occasionally operates shrink wrap machine, I-Pak machines, pallet jack, or forklift with required in-house certification.
• Ensures TTI meets or exceeds internal and external customer expectations for quality, cost, and on-time delivery.
• Meets established quality goals in relation to errors measured as “parts per million” produced and productivity goals.
• Actively participates in job qualification audits and strictly adheres to all established standard operating procedures.
