Warehouse Associate - Machine Operator
About The Position
Nebraska Furniture Mart is hiring a hands-on Warehouse Associate - Machine Operator to safely handle and transport products within its warehouse. The role involves using scan equipment to locate, pick, bin, and cycle products; returning and placing received or transferred goods in appropriate areas; and supporting accountable product-handling processes. The operator monitors daily progress and reports discrepancies, errors, roadblocks, and driver load exceptions to a supervisor. The position may require working at heights and working night, weekend, or early morning hours based on business needs.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- At least 1 year of warehouse experience.
- Positive, upbeat attitude.
- Ability to work in high places.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull required weights.
- Ability to work night, weekend, and/or early morning hours based on business needs.
- Must complete pre-employment screening, including a criminal background check.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Machine operations experience preferred.
- Experience operating a picker, tow-tractor, pole lift, squeeze, or pallet jack.
Responsibilities
- Operate scan equipment to locate, pick, bin, and cycle products.
- Handle products safely and follow material-handling safety practices.
- Locate and return products to stock, and place received goods and transferred products in the appropriate areas.
- Prepare driver load exception reports and ensure products have been picked and binned for accountable processes.
- Track daily progress and promptly report discrepancies, errors, or potential roadblocks to a supervisor.
