About The Position
Bellmont Cabinets is seeking an Edgeband Operator for its high-performing Machining Department in Sumner, Washington. The role involves working with raw cabinet components and edge banding materials to produce cabinetry components with seamless, professional edges. Requirements
- Able to safely lift up to 50 pounds alone; lifts over 50 pounds require team assistance.
- Comfortable reading production schedules, job cards, computer interfaces, and small barcodes.
- Good attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a team-first attitude.
Nice To Haves
- Prior edge banding or CNC machining experience, ideally in cabinetry, wood products, or custom furniture.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Responsibilities
- Apply edge banding to cut cabinet components for a polished, professional finish.
- Clean and maintain the machine and work area to support safety, efficiency, and quality.
- Verify barcodes and the quality of each piece before moving jobs to the next production stage.
- Meet daily and weekly production goals while maintaining strict quality standards.
- Collaborate with department team members to support production flow and improve quality and efficiency.
- Share ideas for improving processes and outcomes, and take ownership of work.
