About The Position

AKHIRE is recruiting a full-time Warehouse Associate / Forklift Operator in Anchorage, Alaska. The role spends most of the day operating a forklift to offload products and organize freight in the warehouse for loading onto outgoing trucks. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.; other shifts may be available. Pay is $20 per hour.

Requirements

• A forklift certification is preferred but not required.
• Ability to push or pull heavy loads up to 200 pounds.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment and perform activities that may include grasping, climbing, bending, handling, reaching, hand dexterity, feeling or touching, and repetitive motions of the hands and feet.
• Ability to walk or stand for long periods of time.
• Drug screening and a background check are required.

• Forklift certification.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload vehicles, including trucks, vans, flatbed trucks, box trucks, and tractor-trailers.
• Mark incoming freight appropriately.
• Move freight around the yard and warehouse using a forklift or other moving equipment.
• Complete freight paperwork accurately and on time.
• Ensure freight is loaded, unloaded, palletized, and marked appropriately.
• Assist customers as necessary.
• Follow safety procedures consistently and attend safety meetings.
