About The Position

Global Industrial is seeking a Warehouse Associate/Equipment Operator to fill customer orders and handle products safely and efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse. The role operates a Cherry Picker and/or Reach Truck, uses an RF scanner to identify products, and moves orders through the appropriate packing or shipping route. The associate may also support receiving, inventory, and returns operations and assemble lockers and cabinets using manual, air, and electrical hand tools. The position requires regular onsite attendance and generally works the first shift, from 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM, in Receiving.

Requirements

• Previous experience operating a Reach Truck and/or Cherry Picker.
• At least 1 year of experience working in a warehouse environment.
• At least 1 year of experience with material handling equipment.
• Previous experience using an RF scanner.
• Ability to read and interpret assembly instructions and drawings.
• Ability to independently lift products weighing up to 75 pounds continuously in a productive environment.
• Ability to stand, walk, pull, and bend continuously throughout the day in a fast-paced environment.
• Reading and comprehension skills.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fill customer orders by operating a Cherry Picker and/or Reach Truck in a fast-paced environment.
• Operate equipment to move products efficiently and safely.
• Use an RF scanner gun to identify products to be moved, gathered, or distributed for customer orders.
• Assemble customer orders from stock and place them on pallets, shelves, or conveyor belts according to the route to packing or shipping.
• Assist the Receiving Department with unloading incoming merchandise from trucks when needed.
• Assist the inventory and returns departments with daily operations.
• Assemble component parts to build lockers and cabinets.
• Use manual, air, and electrical hand tools efficiently and safely.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
