About The Position

Global Industrial is hiring a Warehouse Associate/Equipment Operator to fill customer orders and support warehouse operations. The role involves operating a Cherry Picker and/or Reach Truck, using an RF scanner to identify products, assembling orders, and moving merchandise safely and efficiently. The associate may also assist with receiving, inventory, and returns, and assemble lockers and cabinets using manual, air, and electrical hand tools. Regular onsite attendance is an essential function. The position generally operates from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM.

Requirements

• Previous experience operating a Reach Truck and/or Cherry Picker.
• At least 1 year of experience working in a warehouse environment.
• At least 1 year of experience with material handling equipment.
• Previous experience using an RF scanner.
• Ability to read and interpret assembly instructions and drawings to facilitate assembly.
• Ability to independently lift products weighing up to 75 pounds continuously in a productive environment.
• Ability to stand, walk, pull, and bend continuously for the full workday in a fast-paced environment.
• Reading and comprehension skills.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fill customer orders by operating a Cherry Picker and/or Reach Truck in a fast-paced environment.
• Operate equipment to move products efficiently and safely.
• Use an RF scanner to identify products to be moved, gathered, or distributed for customer orders.
• Assemble customer orders from stock and place them on pallets, shelves, or conveyor belts according to the route to the packing station or shipping department.
• Assist the Receiving Department with unloading new merchandise from trucks when needed.
• Assist the inventory and returns departments with day-to-day operations.
• Assemble component parts to build lockers and cabinets.
• Use manual, air, and electrical hand tools efficiently and safely.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
