About The Position

Global Industrial is seeking a Warehouse Associate/Equipment Operator to fill customer orders in a fast-paced warehouse. The role operates a Cherry Picker and/or Reach Truck and uses an RF scanner to identify products for orders. It also involves assembling and routing orders, assisting with receiving, inventory, and returns, and assembling lockers and cabinets using manual, air, and electrical hand tools. The role generally works a mid shift from 11:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Regular onsite attendance is an essential function.

Requirements

• Previous experience operating a Reach Truck and/or Cherry Picker.
• At least 1 year of experience working in a warehouse environment.
• At least 1 year of experience with material handling equipment.
• Previous experience using an RF scanner.
• Ability to read and interpret assembly instructions and drawings.
• Ability to lift products weighing up to 75 lbs independently on a continuous basis.
• Ability to stand, walk, pull, and bend continuously throughout the workday in a fast-paced environment.
• Reading and comprehension skills.

Responsibilities

• Fill customer orders by operating a Cherry Picker and/or Reach Truck in a fast-paced environment.
• Operate equipment to move products efficiently and safely.
• Use an RF scanner to identify products to be moved, gathered, or distributed for customer orders.
• Assemble customer orders from stock and place them on pallets, shelves, or conveyor belts according to the route to the packing station or shipping department.
• Assist the Receiving Department with unloading new merchandise from trucks when needed.
• Assist the inventory and returns departments with day-to-day operations.
• Assemble component parts to build lockers and cabinets.
• Use manual, air, and electrical hand tools efficiently and safely.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
