About The Position

Global Industrial is an industry leader that provides private-label and brand-name industrial equipment and supplies to businesses across North America. The Warehouse Associate/Equipment Operator fills customer orders in a fast-paced environment by operating a Cherry Picker and/or Reach Truck, using an RF scanner, and moving products safely and efficiently. The role also supports receiving, inventory, and returns operations and assembles lockers and cabinets using manual, air, and electrical hand tools. Requirements

• Previous experience operating a Reach Truck and/or Cherry Picker.
• At least 1 year of experience working in a warehouse environment.
• At least 1 year of experience with material handling equipment.
• Previous experience using an RF scanner.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting assembly instructions and drawings.
• Ability to lift products weighing up to 75 lbs independently on a continuous basis in a productive environment.
• Ability to stand, walk, pull, and bend continuously throughout the day in a fast-paced environment.
• Reading and comprehension skills.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fill customer orders by operating a Cherry Picker and/or Reach Truck in a fast-paced environment.
• Operate equipment to move product efficiently and safely.
• Use an RF scanner gun to identify products to move, gather, or distribute to complete customer orders.
• Assemble customer orders from stock and place them on pallets, shelves, or conveyor belts according to the route to the packing station or shipping department.
• Assist the Receiving Department with unloading new merchandise from trucks when needed.
• Assist the inventory and returns departments with day-to-day operations.
• Assemble component parts to build lockers and cabinets.
• Use manual, air, and electrical hand tools efficiently and safely.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
