Warehouse Associate / Delivery Driver - Rock Hill
About The Position
Keep the products, people, and projects moving with State Electric Supply Co. as a Warehouse Associate / Backup Driver in Goldsboro, NC. This is a warehouse-first role with the added opportunity to support local deliveries when needed. You’ll spend most of your time receiving, organizing, picking, and preparing products while also serving as a dependable backup driver for the branch. Your work helps keep our warehouse organized, our customers supplied, and daily operations moving smoothly. Stay active throughout your workday in a hands-on warehouse environment. Add variety to your role by helping with occasional local deliveries when backup driving support is needed. Learn valuable warehouse and electrical distribution skills while gaining experience with forklifts, pallet jacks, wire cutting, shipping, and receiving. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse or related experience is preferred, but not required.
- Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
- Ability and willingness to complete training to safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
- Ability to safely load, unload, move, and organize products throughout the workday.
- Strong attention to detail and organization.
- Dependability and flexibility to support occasional delivery needs.
- A customer-focused attitude and willingness to help wherever needed.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Assist with shipping and receiving products and materials.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Check in merchandise and verify incoming products.
- Sort and place products on racks, shelves, or in bins according to established organization and product codes.
- Pick and prepare products for customer orders and shipment.
- Prepare parcels and materials for mailing or delivery.
- Pull and cut wire to specified lengths as needed.
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment after completing required training.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Serve as a backup driver for local customer deliveries when needed, using company-owned vans or box trucks.
- Provide friendly, professional service to customers during deliveries and complete required delivery documentation.
- Assist with additional warehouse responsibilities as needed to support the branch team.
