Warehouse Associate/Back Room Processor-Salvation Army Santa Rosa Store
About The Position
The Warehouse Associate/Backroom Processor works in the Production Department and reports to the Store Manager. The role sorts and inspects products, identifies items and routes them to the appropriate department, and collects and safely transports merchandise from the distribution center. The position requires following Salvation Army policies and applicable government safety regulations, maintaining confidentiality when needed, and performing other duties assigned by the Store Manager or a designated representative. Overtime requires the supervisor’s written approval, with the supervisor’s initials recorded on the timecard next to the overtime hours.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Demonstrated competency in the skill area through verifiable training and/or experience.
- Ability to read and write and understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis.
- Ability to grasp and push or pull objects.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to perform repetitive-motion tasks.
Responsibilities
- Sort products efficiently and properly according to Salvation Army policy.
- Inspect products for defects and damage as part of quality assurance.
- Identify products correctly and direct them to the proper department for processing.
- Collect merchandise from the distribution center and safely transport materials.
- Follow safety measures established by Salvation Army policy and government regulations.
- Maintain confidentiality as needed for operation of the program.
- Obtain the supervisor’s written approval for overtime and ensure the supervisor’s initials appear on the timecard next to overtime hours.
- Perform other written or verbal duties assigned by the Store Manager or their designated representative.
