About The Position

The Warehouse Associate / Backroom Processor supports The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center’s retail operation at the Anaheim (Katella) store, which supports the Adult Rehabilitation Program. The role contributes to a positive shopping and donor experience and helps maintain the effectiveness of the program. Responsibilities include sorting and inspecting merchandise, identifying and routing products for processing, transporting materials safely, following safety policies and regulations, and performing other duties assigned by the Store Manager or a designated representative. Schedules are set by management to ensure store coverage; full-time employees may work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Overtime requires written supervisor approval.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent.
Demonstrated competency in the relevant skill area through verifiable training and/or experience.
Ability to read and write and to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

Sort products efficiently and properly according to The Salvation Army’s policies.
Inspect products for defects and damage as part of quality assurance.
Identify products correctly and direct them to the appropriate department for processing.
Collect merchandise from the distribution center and transport materials safely.
Follow safety measures established by The Salvation Army and applicable government regulations.
Maintain confidentiality as required for the operation of the program.
Obtain written supervisor approval for any overtime and ensure the supervisor’s initials appear on the timecard beside overtime hours.
Perform other written or verbal duties assigned by the Store Manager or their designated representative.
