About The Position

As a Material Handler, you will play a vital role in our warehouse and production operations by ensuring the efficient, accurate, and timely movement of materials throughout the facility. This position combines hands-on warehouse responsibilities with inventory control and administrative support to maintain accurate records and ensure smooth daily operations. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1–3 years of experience in a warehouse, distribution, shipping & receiving, manufacturing, or production environment.
  • Experience with inventory management, order pulling, shipping, receiving, and material handling.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Ability to accurately process inventory transactions, maintain documentation, and perform basic data entry.
  • Experience performing cycle counts and maintaining inventory accuracy.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to safely lift and move materials and perform the physical requirements of a warehouse environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems, or computerized inventory software is preferred.
  • Forklift certification or experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Pick, pull, stage, stock, rack, stack, organize, and transport materials throughout the warehouse and production areas.
  • Prepare customer orders for shipment by accurately packaging, labeling, and staging materials.
  • Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment through routine housekeeping and dock maintenance.
  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against purchase orders and packing slips.
  • Perform inventory transactions using warehouse management or ERP software.
  • Process daily inventory movements, transfers, receipts, and shipments while maintaining accurate inventory records.
  • Conduct cycle counts, inventory audits, and reconciliations to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Replenish inventory locations and monitor stock levels to support production and customer demand.
  • Track materials throughout the warehouse and production process using barcode scanners or inventory management systems.
  • Pull customer and production orders according to work orders and shipping schedules.
  • Prepare shipping documentation, packing lists, labels, and other required paperwork.
  • Package materials using appropriate methods, including crating, foam wrapping, bubble wrapping, plastic wrapping, insulating, and custom packaging for domestic and international shipments.
  • Coordinate with production, purchasing, and shipping teams to ensure materials are available and orders are completed on time.
  • Enter and maintain accurate inventory and shipping data in ERP or warehouse management systems.
  • Process daily inventory transactions, work orders, receipts, transfers, and shipping records.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Word, for communication, tracking, and reporting.
  • Maintain organized inventory, shipping, and receiving documentation.
  • Assist with generating inventory reports, updating spreadsheets, and supporting daily operational recordkeeping.
  • Communicate effectively with internal departments regarding inventory discrepancies, shipment status, and material availability.
  • Safely operate pallet jacks, handcarts, forklifts (if certified), and other material handling equipment.
  • Follow established safety procedures and quality standards while handling materials and equipment.
