About The Position

The Wallcovering Installer supports the Engineering Department with hotel maintenance, guest-room improvements, and cosmetic repairs. The role helps maintain the appearance and quality of guest rooms, public spaces, meeting areas, and back-of-house facilities. Work may include painting, drywall installation and repair, mudding, taping, sanding, wallpaper installation and removal, and general wall maintenance. The posting describes the position as part-time.

Requirements

Able to climb, read, stand, and walk, and routinely lift 25 to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
Able to receive instructions and communicate progress on work assignments.
Effective verbal and written communication skills, including adapting communication to supervisors, coworkers, and the public.

Nice To Haves

Hotel experience preferred.
Hands-on experience in interior painting, drywall installation and repair, mudding, taping, sanding, wallpaper installation and removal, and general wall maintenance.

Responsibilities

Assist with preventative maintenance and complete work orders, including replacing ceiling tiles and light bulbs and patching vinyl.
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance assignments, such as room care.
Assist with checking electrical systems, including air-conditioning controls, televisions, and lighting, and make minor repairs or replacements.
Assist with routine and major repairs to hotel equipment and systems, including appliances, kitchen and laundry equipment, boilers, pool equipment, HVAC, tools, plumbing systems, and fixtures.
Service the hotel pool by adjusting chemicals and cleaning filters; complete maintenance request forms and record logs.
Maintain the building exterior and curb appeal, including snow removal, lawn care, painting, and gardening.
Refurbish guest-room furniture and fixtures, including cabinets, tables, chairs, doors, windows, and counters; paint and finish them as needed.
Move furniture and fixtures throughout the building.
Respond courteously to guest questions, complaints, and requests to support guest satisfaction.
Follow attendance rules and be available to work regularly.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
