About The Position

Cedar Community is seeking a friendly, enthusiastic, service-oriented Hospitality Associate for Top of the Ridge, its casual fine dining restaurant and bar. The role provides warm, professional, attentive service in restaurant, bar, and catering settings and helps create memorable experiences for residents and guests. The associate works with hospitality and culinary team members to support seamless service and maintain welcoming, organized service areas.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 11:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., with occasional weekends and holidays. Employees must be vaccinated against influenza unless they have an approved medical or religious exemption. COVID-19 vaccination is strongly encouraged, and requirements may change in accordance with CMS guidelines.

Requirements

• Genuine passion for hospitality and providing outstanding guest service.
• Friendly, professional personality and excellent communication skills.
• Strong menu knowledge and ability to confidently recommend food and beverage selections.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced restaurant environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Bartending license or willingness to obtain one upon hire.
• Influenza vaccination, except for approved medical or religious exemptions.

Nice To Haves

• 3–5 years of previous serving experience in a casual fine dining environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional guest service in restaurant, bar, and catering settings.
• Welcome guests, provide attentive table service, and create a warm, inviting atmosphere.
• Share menu knowledge, explain daily specials, and recommend food and beverage selections.
• Accurately take and enter food and beverage orders while ensuring timely, professional service.
• Anticipate guest needs, respond to requests, and help ensure an enjoyable dining experience.
• Collaborate with culinary and hospitality team members to provide seamless service.
• Assist with dining room setup, food preparation, stocking, and maintaining clean, organized service areas.
• Handle guest questions or concerns professionally and with a positive attitude.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality standards.
