WAITER/WAITRESS (FULL AND PART TIME)
About The Position
Morrison Living is hiring full-time and part-time Waiters/Waitresses at The Ridge Pinehurst in Lakewood, Colorado. The role takes food and beverage orders and efficiently delivers items to dining room guests. No prior experience is required. Schedules and hours may vary, and weekend availability is required. The pay range is $19.00 to $19.30 per hour. The position involves warmly greeting guests, providing attentive service, maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards, and keeping the dining room clean and properly set up. Team members should understand menu items and ingredients, communicate with back-of-house staff about orders and special requests, and respond appropriately to guest needs and concerns. The role also includes cash handling, operating dining-service equipment, and assisting during special events and functions. Responsibilities
- Promptly and warmly greet dining room guests and take food and beverage orders following established service steps.
- Deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards; follow up on additional guest needs.
- Understand menu items and ingredients; advise guests on food and drink combinations when requested, accommodate reasonable requests, and note preferences.
- Demonstrate knowledge of specialized diets and allergens as needed.
- Communicate with back-of-house staff to ensure orders are delivered correctly and special requests are accommodated.
- Communicate effectively and patiently with guests and staff, and get along well with others.
- Collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures.
- Promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests.
- Maintain sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information shared.
- Address complaints or issues promptly and relay relevant information to the supervisor.
- Set up the dining room before service and restore it afterward; keep the area clean and meet sanitation standards.
- Operate equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea and soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines.
- Work with staff from other departments during special events and functions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
