About The Position

E&M Technologies, Inc. is seeking a VTC Specialist to join their team in Colorado Springs, CO, in support of the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD)/United States Northern Command (USNORTHCOM) Information Technology (IT) Enterprise Services (NITES). NORAD is a bi-national organization responsible for aerospace warning, aerospace control, and maritime warning for North America. The VTC Specialist will play a crucial role in maintaining and supporting these critical operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field plus 0-2 years experience or 4-6 years equivalent military/civilian experience.
  • IAT Level II Certification (CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of VTC systems and AV technologies.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to respond to high-pressure situations promptly and efficiently.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must have and be capable of maintaining a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility security clearance

Responsibilities

  • Conduct monthly preventative maintenance for all relevant AV/VTC systems.
  • Ensure issues are reported through Help Desk ticketing system with corrective action plans and timelines.
  • Provide 24/7 troubleshooting support for exercises, real-world events, and contingencies.
  • Operate, maintain, and monitor all scheduled Top-5 NIPRNet/SIPRNet VTCs.
  • Oversee and update all service desk incident and service requests to ensure QoS and minimal downtime.
  • Handle installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of COTS software and government-furnished AV/VTC hardware.
  • Keep track of hardware/software updates and provide recommendations to the Government Service Owner.
  • Provide onsite, qualified control system design, support, and programming up to TS/SCI.
  • Coordinate and provide support for conference room setups, including AV/VTC system checks and environmental conditioning.
  • Operate and manage the N&NC community CATV system, including Tier 1/2 support, coordination with service providers, and infrastructure maintenance.
