About The Position

Hitachi Energy is seeking a transformational commercial leader to serve as Vice President Sales, Grid Automation North America. This role is accountable for driving growth across Grid Automation's portfolio, including software, automation, communications, services, digital grid, and power conversion solutions. As a key member of the leadership team, you will translate strategy into execution, lead a high-performing sales organization, strengthen customer relationships, expand market share, and deliver sustainable business growth across North America. Working closely with product, account, marketing, service, and business leaders, you will align priorities, mobilize resources, and deliver customer-centric solutions that help modernize infrastructure, improve resilience, accelerate decarbonization, and unlock value through digital technologies.

Requirements

• Extensive senior sales leadership experience in energy, power systems, industrial automation, software, digital solutions, infrastructure, or related industries.
• Proven success leading large commercial teams and delivering profitable growth.
• Strong knowledge of the North American market, customer landscape, and competitive dynamics.
• Demonstrated expertise in sales operations, forecasting, account management, and commercial strategy execution.
• Experience leading organizational transformation within complex, matrixed organizations.
• Bachelor's degree required

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial performance, including orders, revenue, profitability, market share, pipeline growth, and forecasting.
• Develop and execute the North American growth strategy aligned with global Grid Automation priorities.
• Build executive relationships with utilities, industrial customers, renewable energy providers, and infrastructure operators.
• Accelerate growth across software, SaaS, automation, communications, services, and power conversion solutions.
• Drive commercial excellence through disciplined pipeline management, forecasting, pricing, and governance.
• Lead go-to-market transformation and strengthen cross-functional collaboration.
• Develop and mentor a high-performing, diverse sales organization.
• Expand market reach through strategic partnerships, channel networks, and alliances.
• Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and ethical business standards.
