About The Position

The Vice President, Revenue Cycle provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for all revenue cycle functions across the organization. This position is responsible for optimizing the entire revenue cycle process, including but not limited to patient access, scheduling, pre-arrival, billing, collections, accounts receivable, and denials management. The Vice President collaborates with executive leadership and operational teams to develop and execute strategies that enhance revenue, improve operational efficiency, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain high levels of patient satisfaction.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Health Administration, or a related field required
More than 10 years of progressive experience in revenue cycle management or healthcare finance required
5-7 years of senior leadership experience overseeing multi-facility revenue cycle operations required
Proven track record of implementing revenue cycle process improvements and technology solutions to achieve measurable financial results
Comprehensive knowledge of end-to-end revenue cycle processes, healthcare reimbursement methodologies, and payer regulations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to drive decision-making.
Proficiency in revenue cycle management systems, electronic health records (EHRs), and data analytics tools.
Exceptional leadership and team-building abilities, with a focus on fostering collaboration and accountability.
Strong negotiation and relationship management skills with payers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to diverse audiences.
Deep understanding of regulatory compliance requirements, including HIPAA and CMS guidelines.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive organizational change in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Develops and implements revenue cycle strategies and processes that align with the organization’s financial and operational goals.
Oversees all aspects of revenue cycle operations, including patient registration, scheduling, pre-arrival services, insurance verification, billing, coding, collections, payment posting, denials management, revenue integrity, 305 revenue control, divestitures, conversions, Role Security, and reporting.
Ensures compliance with federal, state, and payer regulations, including HIPAA, CMS, and other healthcare-related standards.
Collaborates with executive leadership to create short- and long-term financial strategies that support sustainable growth and operational efficiency.
Drives initiatives to optimize revenue capture, reduce denials, and improve cash flow through process improvements and technology enhancements.
Leads efforts to standardize revenue cycle processes across all facilities and locations, ensuring consistency and scalability.
Develops and manages the revenue cycle budget, ensuring cost-effective operations and resource allocation.
Builds and maintains strong relationships with payers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to address issues, negotiate contracts, and improve processes.
Provides leadership and mentorship to the revenue cycle management team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
