This role involves leading the State Filings and Product Governance teams, partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to oversee the formatting, rule implementation, filing, documentation, tracking, research, and record management of all forms. The position provides strategic guidance on processes related to the development, implementation, and maintenance of forms, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of all product logs, libraries, and documentation repositories. It also involves supervising and supporting research efforts to ensure internal form compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, directing and analyzing research related to competitor filings and market practices, and designing and implementing efficient workflows. The role serves as a key liaison across Compliance, Operations, Product Development, and Actuarial teams to facilitate the seamless implementation of processes on behalf of the Product Development function. Additionally, the VP Product Management partners with the Head of Product to develop and execute initiatives that effectively communicate regulatory changes to Underwriting and IT teams, and identifies, assesses, and addresses compliance issues related to state regulatory requirements and the organization’s implementation of forms and rules. Collaboration with Compliance is key to evaluate and manage the impact of regulatory bulletins and circulars on day-to-day operations. The role also supports State Filings in responding to regulatory objections, including conducting research on competitor filings and prior submissions, maintaining strong relationships with regulators, and developing solutions to address state feedback and concerns.
