About The Position

Join Barclays as a VP - Prime Relationship Management. At Barclays, our vision is clear – to redefine the future of banking and help craft innovative solutions. In this VP role, you will lead engagement across a diverse client base, building considerable connectivity from senior stakeholders such as Directors of Operations & Treasury to daily operational contacts. You will be responsible for delivering a best‑in‑class client experience, driving process improvement, product enhancements, and insights that strengthen long‑term partnerships. You will also oversee transactional risk, platform transitions, and operational flows to ensure seamless client interactions and mitigate risk.

Requirements

  • Expertise in market operations across F&O, OTC Clearing, FXPB, equities, or fixed income
  • Extensive SWAP/Delta1 experience
  • Experience with transactional risk management and oversight of daily client flows
  • Ability to manage STP trade processing rules and platform/product transitions
  • Analytical and problem-solving capabilities for client and process optimization
  • FINRA Series 7 and 63 or willingness to obtain

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to generate new business, maintain and grow relationships with existing clients, and achieve revenue targets.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, understanding their financial needs and objectives.
  • Present and pitch financial products and services to clients, tailored to their requirements.
  • Liaise between clients and internal teams, ensuring smooth execution of client requests.
  • Stay updated on market trends, financial products, and industry regulations.
  • Collaborate with research analysts and other teams to provide clients with insights and market updates.
  • Negotiate terms and agreements with clients to finalize sales transactions.
  • Contribute or set strategy, drive requirements and make recommendations for change.
  • Plan resources, budgets, and policies; manage and maintain policies/processes; deliver continuous improvements and escalate breaches of policies/procedures.
  • If managing a team, define jobs and responsibilities, plan for the department’s future needs and operations, counsel employees on performance and contribute to employee pay decisions/changes.
  • Lead a number of specialists to influence the operations of a department, in alignment with strategic as well as tactical priorities, while balancing short and long term goals and ensuring that budgets and schedules meet corporate requirements.
  • Demonstrate leadership and accountability for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work your team does.
  • Create solutions based on sophisticated analytical thought comparing and selecting complex alternatives.
  • In-depth analysis with interpretative thinking will be required to define problems and develop innovative solutions.
