About The Position

The VP of Sales, Mobility owns magniX's commercial strategy for applying its 800-volt battery, inverter, motor, and generator technology to mobility applications beyond aviation, including ground transportation, marine, and other emerging electrified transport platforms. The role is responsible for identifying and developing new mobility customers and partners who need aerospace-grade power density, safety, and reliability in mission-critical transport applications, and for building magniX's commercial presence in a market segment that is largely new territory for the company. This is an onsite role that requires travel, extensive dealmaking experience, negotiation of contracts, and a proven ability to close deals within this vertical.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, with 8+ years of experience in sales or business development at a senior level
  • 5+ years of experience selling power systems, batteries, or electrification technology into mobility, transportation, or marine markets
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Applicants must be willing and able to commute to magniX's location in Everett, Washington.

  • Experience building a new market vertical from an adjacent core competency, and translating aerospace-grade credentials into a new customer base, is strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Map and prioritize mobility electrification opportunities across ground transport, marine, and adjacent segments where aerospace-grade power systems create differentiated value
  • Develop and implement a sales strategy and pipeline for the vertical, in alignment with magniX's overall commercial strategy set by the CCO
  • Build and maintain relationships with mobility OEMs, integrators, and platform developers seeking high energy density and mission-critical reliability
  • Act as an evangelist for the magniX brand within the vertical
  • Identify and pursue new mobility partnerships and platform integration opportunities, establishing magniX's credibility in a market segment outside its aerospace heritage
  • Identify, initiate, lead, and close sales opportunities in line with the company's overall strategic plan and financial objectives
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Program Management, and Operations to ensure the timely delivery of products and services committed to customers
  • Create, track, and maintain competitive market data specific to the vertical
  • Prepare and deliver regular sales and pipeline reports to the CCO
  • Partner with marketing to develop vertical-specific literature, value propositions, and trade show presence
