About The Position

ColdSpace, a new division of CleanSpace Modular, is seeking an experienced Vice President of Sales – Cold Storage to lead the development and growth of a nationwide sales organization focused exclusively on food processing, cold storage, refrigerated facilities, freezer facilities, and temperature-controlled environments. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for establishing ColdSpace as a recognized national provider within the food processing and cold storage construction market. The VP of Sales will develop and execute the division's sales strategy, build a national pipeline, establish relationships with key industry stakeholders, identify target markets and accounts, and drive revenue from initial opportunity through contract award. The ideal candidate will bring an established network within the food processing, cold storage, refrigerated warehousing, distribution, grocery, meat and poultry, dairy, produce, and related industries, combined with a strong understanding of design-build construction and the ability to sell complex capital projects. This individual will work closely with Estimating, Preconstruction, Design, Procurement, and Construction to ensure opportunities are properly qualified, strategically pursued, and successfully transitioned from sales through project execution.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive sales and business development experience within commercial construction, design-build, food processing, cold storage, refrigerated facilities, or a closely related industry.
  • Demonstrated success selling large-scale construction or capital projects.
  • Established relationships within the national food processing and/or cold storage industry.
  • Strong understanding of cold storage construction, refrigerated environments, food processing facilities, or related building systems.
  • Experience selling to C-suite executives, owners, developers, operators, and other senior decision-makers.
  • Proven history of developing and closing significant construction opportunities.
  • Strong financial and business acumen, including understanding of project margins, budgets, forecasting, and profitability.
  • Experience with CRM platforms and structured sales forecasting.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively nationwide.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute ColdSpace's national sales strategy and revenue plan.
  • Establish annual sales targets, pipeline requirements, and key performance indicators.
  • Identify priority geographic markets, industry segments, and target accounts.
  • Build and maintain a qualified national pipeline of cold storage and food processing opportunities.
  • Develop strategies for both new customer acquisition and expansion of existing relationships.
  • Establish ColdSpace's market positioning, value proposition, and competitive differentiation.
  • Provide executive leadership with regular pipeline, forecast, market, and competitive updates.
  • Build relationships with owners, developers, operators, food processors, distributors, architects, engineers, consultants, brokers, and other industry stakeholders.
  • Identify upcoming capital projects, facility expansions, renovations, conversions, and new construction opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain a national target-account strategy.
  • Generate opportunities through direct outreach, industry relationships, networking, associations, conferences, referrals, and strategic partnerships.
  • Develop relationships with major national and regional food processing and cold storage organizations.
  • Represent ColdSpace at industry events and conferences throughout the United States.
  • Develop strategic partnerships that create recurring opportunities and strengthen ColdSpace's position in the market.
  • Lead opportunities from initial identification through qualification, proposal, negotiation, and contract award.
  • Work with Estimating and Preconstruction to determine project scope, budget, schedule, and pursuit strategy.
  • Qualify opportunities based on project size, customer fit, timing, budget, competition, and probability of award.
  • Participate in customer presentations, site visits, project strategy meetings, and negotiations.
  • Develop pursuit strategies for large and complex design-build opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate opportunity, pipeline, and forecasting information within the company's CRM.
  • Ensure effective handoff of awarded projects to Project Management, Estimating, Design, Procurement, and Construction.
  • Establish ColdSpace as a recognized national brand within the cold storage and food processing construction market.
  • Monitor industry trends, customer needs, competitive activity, construction costs, and emerging market opportunities.
  • Identify new applications and market segments where ColdSpace's capabilities can provide a competitive advantage.
  • Develop market intelligence that can be used to influence estimating, design, procurement, and overall business strategy.
  • Provide executive leadership with recommendations regarding market expansion, strategic accounts, partnerships, and investment opportunities.
  • Build and lead a high-performing national sales organization as the ColdSpace division grows.
  • Establish sales roles, territories, account assignments, goals, and performance expectations.
  • Recruit, develop, coach, and retain sales professionals with relevant industry experience.
  • Establish standardized sales processes, CRM requirements, forecasting practices, and accountability metrics.
  • Develop a culture focused on consultative selling, relationship development, accountability, and profitable growth.
  • Ensure that sales commitments are aligned with the company's ability to successfully execute the project.
