VP of Operations

OneSkinSan Francisco, CA
$250,000 - $275,000Remote

About The Position

OneSkin is seeking a VP of Operations to serve as the operational backbone for its growth as it scales from a high-growth DTC brand into a multi-channel, science-led longevity company. This role offers a unique opportunity to join a mission-driven team and help build the infrastructure to support significant growth. The VP of Operations will be responsible for supply chain, fulfillment, ERP, planning, vendor relationships, and cross-functional operational excellence. The position reports directly to the CEO and requires a leader who is both a visionary builder and hands-on. Key responsibilities include owning end-to-end supply chain strategy, building scalable processes for DTC, retail, and international expansion, driving cost efficiency and quality, and managing vendor relationships. The role also involves supporting the implementation and adoption of an ERP system, championing data integrity, and owning demand planning, S&OP, and inventory forecasting. The VP of Operations will partner with Finance on COGS, operational budgets, and margin optimization, and develop operational KPIs. Additionally, the role includes building and leading a lean operations team, collaborating with other departments, and serving as a thought partner to the leadership team on strategic growth decisions.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of operations experience, with significant time in a senior leadership role at a DTC, beauty, wellness, or CPG company.
  • Demonstrated experience scaling a company to $150M+ in revenue — including supply chain, fulfillment, and systems infrastructure.
  • Hands-on ERP implementation experience (NetSuite) in a high-growth environment.
  • Strong understanding of retail and wholesale operational requirements; experience with Sephora or other prestige retail partners is a strong plus.
  • Proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams in a fast-moving, resource-constrained environment.
  • Exceptional analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • West Coast-based preferred; remote candidates must have flexibility to travel to San Francisco regularly.

Nice To Haves

  • A scrappy, mission-driven operator who knows how to get things done — and leads by example. You don't wait for permission; you build.
  • Experienced scaling a consumer company through the $150M+ growth stage — you've lived the challenges of that journey and know what it takes.
  • A hands-on leader who's as comfortable in the weeds as you are in the boardroom. You can review a PO and present to the board in the same day.
  • Deeply knowledgeable about beauty, wellness, or CPG supply chains — with a strong network and genuine appreciation for the industry.
  • A relationship builder with vendors, partners, and internal teams — you earn trust through follow-through and transparency.
  • Energized by building systems, not just inheriting them. You've implemented an ERP before and know that the hard part isn't the software — it's the change.
  • Analytically sharp, with strong instincts on where to invest operational dollars and where to tighten.
  • Humble enough to be scrappy, confident enough to lead — and deeply motivated by the idea that your work helps people live better, longer.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end supply chain strategy: sourcing, manufacturing, inventory planning, and 3PL/fulfillment partner management.
  • Build scalable, resilient processes that support growth across DTC, retail (including Sephora and other prestige channels), and international expansion.
  • Drive cost efficiency, quality standards, and on-time delivery across the supply chain.
  • Manage vendor and co-manufacturer relationships with a partnership mindset — and hold them accountable.
  • Support the implementation, and adoption of an ERP system that is already in motion, promoting cross-functional change management.
  • Champion data integrity and operational visibility across inventory, orders, and financials.
  • Continuously improve systems and workflows to eliminate friction and scale efficiently.
  • Own demand planning, S&OP, and inventory forecasting across channels.
  • Partner with Finance to manage COGS, operational budgets, and margin optimization.
  • Develop and track operational KPIs — surfacing insights that drive smarter decisions across the business.
  • Build and lead a lean but high-performing operations team — hiring, developing, and retaining exceptional people.
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing, Finance, Product, and Science teams to align operational capacity with business priorities.
  • Be a trusted thought partner to the CEO, CFO and senior leadership team on strategic growth decisions.

Benefits

  • Fully remote work experience, including a one-time allowance for home office setup
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, vision package, and FSA.
  • 401K with 100% match up to 5% of your salary
  • Flexible PTO
  • Monthly wellness package (Wellhub) including free meditation app membership (Headspace, Calm)
  • Quarterly OneSkin subscription of full-sized products
  • Bonus potential
