About The Position

Anchor Co-Living is seeking a VP of Operations to lead operational execution as the company scales housing and healthcare services across California. Serving as an integrator alongside the CEO, this role will turn the company’s vision into the systems, people, market execution, and business rhythms needed to grow from 200 beds to 1,500 beds by the end of 2028 and 6,000 beds by 2034. The VP will oversee occupancy, market expansion, staffing, operating cadence, compliance, financial performance, and leadership development, while owning internal execution and partnering closely with the CEO on strategy and organizational priorities. This is a builder role in a fast-growing, human-centered, highly accountable environment. The VP will assess and improve the operating model, establish visibility into key metrics, strengthen accountability, build the leadership team and organizational structure, and create repeatable systems for expansion. The role also supports financial performance, managed care and statewide contract relationships, compliance and service quality, and the company’s reputation across California’s healthcare and housing ecosystem. The position is remote-first, with occasional travel to locations across California. Compensation is a base salary of $130,000–$195,000, based on experience and location, plus a performance-based annual bonus of 10–20%. Optional healthcare benefits and generous PTO are offered.

  • Clarify roles, expectations, and performance standards while strengthening culture and accountability.
  • Partner with finance to improve visibility into occupancy, billing, cost per bed, and margins.
  • Balance growth with cost discipline and sound operational judgment; support pricing, profitability, and real estate strategy.
  • Support development and management of key managed care and statewide contract relationships.
