The VP of Commercial Strategy (VPC) is responsible for 1) leading business growth, top-line revenue optimization across the entire portfolio of hotels, 2) bridge the gap between sales, marketing, and finance to ensure predictable revenue and strategic market expansion, 3) partner with sales team in supporting overall deal management, structuring, pricing, financial modeling and analysis, and 4) Negotiates complex agreements and builds strategic relationships with key corporate clients or institutional partners. The VP of Commercial Strategy collaborates with executives in finance, marketing, and revenue management to translate high-level strategies into executable commercial plans to drive revenue generation and market positioning through comprehensive strategic planning.

Responsibilities

  • Provide business, pricing, and support to Sales for complex, and/or nonstandard transactions.
  • Serves as a trusted advisor to the field on pricing, margins, deal structure, and business terms.
  • Develop and implement holistic commercial strategies that integrate sales, revenue management, and marketing efforts to achieve comprehensive revenue targets and market share growth across the portfolio of hotels.
  • Provide a "hands-on" approach to complex situations or escalations and work throughout departments to provide a resolution while maximizing revenue/bookings.
  • Ensure that complex transactions are operationalized and communicated to all relevant parties to provide visibility and awareness too.
  • Partner with Revenue Management team to provide analysis around trends in customer requests and pricing.
  • Develop and implement holistic commercial strategies that integrate sales, revenue management, and marketing efforts to achieve comprehensive revenue targets and market share growth across the portfolio.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, strategic networking events, and leadership forums to enhance brand visibility and generate innovative business opportunities.
  • Promote the company by demonstrating a “top-notch” attitude toward our “customers” which includes our guests, team members, vendors and brand partners.
  • Partner with ownership on high-impact initiatives renovations and repositioning the portfolio to redefine our market position, brand identity, and target audience to maximize RevPAR, ADR, and overall ROI.
