About The Position

Rate Inc. is seeking a data-driven, results-oriented VP of Metrics and Growth to lead the Rate App's expansion and optimization in a fast-paced fintech environment. This is a high-impact leadership role for a growth leader who thrives on analytics, experimentation, and driving measurable business outcomes through rigorous metrics management and innovative growth strategies.

Requirements

  • 7-10+ years of experience in growth, analytics, or product management roles within fast-paced fintech, consumer tech, or digital marketplace environments.
  • Proven track record of driving significant user growth and engagement metrics through data-driven strategies and growth hacking techniques.
  • Deep expertise in growth analytics including funnel optimization, cohort analysis, LTV modeling, attribution, and A/B testing methodologies.
  • Strong command of analytics tools and platforms including SQL, Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude, Tableau, or similar.
  • Experience building KPI frameworks from scratch and establishing metrics-driven cultures in high-growth environments.
  • Exceptional program management skills with ability to drive multiple complex initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams and managing matrixed organizations without direct reporting relationships.
  • Strong stakeholder management capabilities with ability to influence senior executives and align diverse teams around common goals.
  • Experience operating in agile, high-velocity environments where priorities shift rapidly and execution speed is critical.
  • Track record of managing programs from conception through full-scale rollout with measurable business impact.
  • Strong technical fluency with ability to partner effectively with engineering and data science teams.
  • Deep understanding of mobile app ecosystems, user acquisition channels, and growth marketing tactics.
  • Financial services or fintech experience with understanding of regulatory constraints and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.
  • Outstanding communication skills with ability to translate metrics and analytics into compelling business narratives.
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA, MS in Analytics, or technical degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement a comprehensive KPI framework that tracks user acquisition, activation, engagement, retention, revenue, and referral metrics across the Rate App ecosystem.
  • Establish data infrastructure and reporting systems that provide real-time visibility into product performance, user behavior, and growth funnel metrics.
  • Define success metrics for all growth initiatives and ensure rigorous measurement and attribution across channels.
  • Build executive dashboards and reporting cadences that drive data-informed decision making at all levels of the organization.
  • Partner with Data Science and Analytics teams to develop predictive models and advanced analytics capabilities.
  • Lead growth hacking initiatives across paid acquisition, organic growth, viral loops, referral programs, and retention optimization.
  • Drive rapid experimentation through A/B testing, multivariate testing, and growth experiments to identify scalable acquisition and engagement strategies.
  • Optimize conversion funnels and eliminate friction points throughout the user journey from awareness through transaction completion.
  • Develop and execute channel-specific growth strategies including SEO, SEM, social media, content marketing, partnerships, and in-app growth levers.
  • Scale successful growth tactics from pilot to full deployment while maintaining rigorous ROI discipline.
  • Drive complex, high-velocity growth programs across Product, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, Operations, and Analytics teams in a fast-paced fintech environment.
  • Establish program governance structures, sprint cadences, and accountability frameworks that enable rapid execution without sacrificing quality.
  • Manage multiple concurrent initiatives with competing priorities and resource constraints, ensuring alignment and momentum across all workstreams.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization, translating growth metrics into business impact and securing buy-in for resource allocation.
  • Lead weekly growth reviews, monthly business reviews, and quarterly planning cycles that keep teams focused on the highest-impact opportunities.
  • Conduct deep-dive analyses to understand user behavior patterns, identify growth bottlenecks, and uncover optimization opportunities.
  • Build cohort analyses, lifetime value models, and churn prediction frameworks that inform product and marketing strategy.
  • Establish benchmarking against industry standards and competitive products to identify performance gaps and opportunities.
  • Implement attribution modeling to accurately measure the ROI of growth investments across channels.
  • Drive continuous improvement through systematic post-mortems, learnings documentation, and best practice sharing.
