VP Controller
About The Position
As a full-time consultant with 8020, you'll leverage your controllership expertise to lead high-impact projects that ensure financial accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency. Whether optimizing financial reporting, guiding ERP rollouts, or supporting M&A activity, your work will make a visible impact—without the need for travel. You'll play a critical role in helping clients maintain compliance, streamline reporting, and position their finance teams for long-term success. Requirements
- Strong controllership experience across multiple industries
- In-depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP, month-end close, internal controls, and financial reporting
- Experience with a variety of accounting systems or integration work
- A proactive, hands-on approach to problem solving and process improvement

Responsibilities
- Lead high-impact projects ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency.
- Optimize financial reporting.
- Guide ERP rollouts.
- Support M&A activity.
- Establish and optimize month-end close processes.
- Implement internal controls and policies.
- Lead the transition to ASC 842 lease accounting compliance.
- Redesign chart of accounts and reporting structures during finance transformation initiatives.
- Oversee the accounting integration of an acquired entity.
- Act as interim controller during leadership transitions.
