About The Position

This position is responsible for defining strategy and executing sales, marketing, and business development activities for Harley Marine Services and all subsidiary companies.

Requirements

  • Must be familiar with strategic selling and all elements of the sales process
  • Must be financially savvy and understand basic elements of a financial package including revenue, costs, profit, margin, overhead, percentages, and others
  • Is capable of producing presentations to executive level customers and internal stakeholders
  • Is familiar with CRM tools and resources
  • Must be comfortable with public speaking engagements
  • Must be able to cross multiple market segments, service lines, and geographic cultures easily
  • Must be proficient at PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and other business software
  • Must be skilled at proposal creation and executive summary writing
  • Must have thorough knowledge of the marine petroleum transportation industry
  • Must be able to develop and maintain professional relationships with internal and external clients.
  • Impeccable credentials of the highest level of integrity, ethics, and honesty
  • Brings to the position at least 5 years of sales leadership and 15 years of total sales experience
  • Must have a proven track record of closed deals and sales success from experience
  • Must be able to think strategically and be comfortable with executive communicators
  • Must possess prior operational background in the maritime industry with relevant experience

Nice To Haves

  • Ideally would possess a Bachelor’s degree in Arts or Science and specific sales training post-graduation

Responsibilities

  • Builds, manages and maintains a vetted sales pipeline to support stated growth goals
  • Reviews all opportunities for strategy and qualification
  • Serves as leader for each sales opportunity as necessary
  • Works with various departments to develop and execute on opportunities
  • Drives organizational usage of SalesForce CRM software
  • Develops and utilizes costing models for each sales opportunity as necessary
  • Compiles information and data related to client and prospect interactions
  • Define and coordinate sales training programs guided by analytics and monitoring to enable team members to achieve their potential and support company sales objectives
  • Assists in setting the sales strategies for training and development for the broader sale team
  • Lends support to building performance teams, providing coaching, development and mentoring to Sales and Marketing Team members as directed or assigned.
  • Monitor competitor activity and provide feedback to company leadership
  • Drives safety performance by holding members of the team accountable for participation and completion of all corporate safety initiatives
