About The Position

Help scale a fast-growing, mission-driven food brand, leading the strategy, innovation, and storytelling that will make vegetables craveable and bring them to the center of the plate. Actual Veggies Actual Veggies is a fast-growing, veggie-forward food company on a mission to make eating vegetables more craveable, convenient, and fun. We make clean-label, chef-inspired products that help consumers eat less meat and more real vegetables without sacrificing taste.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in brand marketing, brand strategy, innovation, portfolio management, or general management
  • Strong CPG experience required; food, beverage, frozen, natural channel, or better-for-you experience strongly preferred
  • Experience scaling a challenger brand or high-growth consumer business
  • Strong strategic planning experience, including long-term growth planning and integrated marketing strategy
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate consumer insights and data into commercially successful and innovative decisions
  • Experience building and managing an innovation pipeline, from concept through commercialization
  • Strong understanding of portfolio strategy, SKU prioritization, pricing, pack architecture, and margin trade-offs
  • Thinks like a GM, with a demonstrated ability to balance long-term brand vision with short-term revenue and profitability goals
  • Experience managing agencies, budgets, and integrated marketing campaigns
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally and proven ability to drive alignment
  • Excellent communication and executive presentation skills

Responsibilities

  • Define target consumer, positioning, and key growth opportunities
  • Serve as a strategic thought partner to the CEO and leadership team
  • Lead annual marketing and brand planning process
  • Drive alignment and execution across Sales, Finance, Operations, and R&D
  • Establish KPIs and track performance, adjusting strategy as needed
  • Own portfolio strategy, including SKU prioritization and lifecycle management
  • Lead innovation pipeline from concept through commercialization
  • Identify whitespace opportunities and drive new product development
  • Champion consumer insights and market intelligence across the organization
  • Translate data, trends, and competitive insights into actionable strategies
  • Own integrated marketing strategy and brand plans across all channels
  • Ensure consistent brand voice and positioning across all touchpoints
  • Oversee agencies, creative development, and campaign performance
  • Monitor brand health and commercial performance metrics
  • Partner with Sales and Finance on pricing and profitability initiatives
  • Lead key business reviews and influence strategic decision-making
  • Simplify complexity and focus teams on highest-impact growth priorities
