About The Position

The Voyage Planner is a sales-driven role responsible for generating revenue through outbound and inbound opportunities while delivering exceptional Sailor service. This is a hybrid Sales and Service role. You own the full sales cycle — from lead engagement to booking and follow-up — while also supporting Sailors with their existing bookings. This role operates in a metrics-driven environment with clear revenue and conversion targets. High performance in this role means hitting numbers and leaving sailors glad they called. This gig is based at VVHQ - our swanky Virgin Voyages Head Office in Plantation, FL where we follow a hybrid work environment. We can't wait to 'sea' you in person during our Collaboration Days, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, while you enjoy Mondays and Fridays' as remote days.

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of experience in a quota-driven sales environment (travel/hospitality preferred)
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets
  • Strong communication and phone presence
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM systems preferred
  • Highly organized with strong follow-up skills
  • High School Diploma required

Responsibilities

  • Own and achieve individual revenue and conversion targets across outbound channels
  • Proactively generate bookings through outbound calls, lead follow-up, and re-engagement of past Sailors
  • Identify Sailor needs and recommend voyages, cabins, and add-ons to drive conversion
  • Maximize revenue through upselling and cross-selling of upgrades, packages, onboard experiences
  • Actively manage your pipeline, book of business and opportunities within Salesforce
  • Build and maintain relationships with new and repeat Sailors to drive loyalty and repeat business
  • Deliver Rockstar Service on every interaction, not as a sales tactic, but as a standard
  • Own the end-to-end Sailor experience, including itinerary changes, payments, upgrades, and pre and post voyage questions
  • Resolve issues promptly and leave every Sailor with a clear next step
  • Maintain accurate and detailed Sailor profiles, preferences, and interaction history within Salesforce
  • Support inbound service queues during peak periods or staffing gaps to protect service levels
  • Maintain strong knowledge of Virgin Voyages’ products, itineraries, and promotions
  • Personalize recommendations using Sailor data and travel history
  • Confidently handle objections and apply effective closing techniques
  • Meet defined KPIs including revenue, conversion, and productivity metrics
  • Participate in coaching, training, and team meetings to continuously improve performance
  • Maintain booking accuracy and compliance with company systems and standards
