About The Position

This Voucher Examiner position is located at Defense Finance and Accounting Service in Texarkana, Texas. The role audits completed vouchers for errors, irregularities, and omissions; schedules vouchers for payment; and processes accounts payable vouchers. Other duties may be assigned. Incentives will not be paid.

Requirements

• Progressively responsible work experience in an accounting function performing duties similar to those described.
• Ability to use a calculator and personal computer.
• Ability to communicate orally and in writing with serviced activities and vendors.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a T3 (Secret) investigation; non-U.S. citizens cannot obtain the required investigation under the stated conditions.
• Meet qualification, eligibility, and background requirements.
• Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check and any required pre-employment checks.
• Provide a resume of two pages or less that clearly reflects relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and abilities.
• Direct deposit and a Social Security card are required.

• Experience processing voucher payments using an automated system.
• Experience reviewing documents authorizing payments.
• Experience resolving discrepancies according to established procedures.

Responsibilities
