About The Position

Coordinates the activities of volunteer services. This role is more than a career, it's a calling. The Volunteer Services Coordinator will conduct recruitment, selection, and training of volunteers. They will coordinate the schedules and daily activities of volunteers, acting as a liaison between leadership and volunteer resources to match department needs with volunteer skills. This position may also organize volunteer recognition programs and assist with fundraising efforts.

Requirements

  • High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience
  • Two years' experience
  • Proof of motor vehicle liability insurance that meets minimum state requirements upon hire and upon request.
  • Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
  • Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.
  • Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication.
  • Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
  • Frequent keyboard use/data entry.
  • Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting and gripping.
  • Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
  • Rare climbing.

  • Driving Record - Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) And Driver’s License State of Issuance

Responsibilities

  • Conducts recruitment, selection and training of volunteers.

  • May also organize volunteer recognition program(s) and assist with fundraising efforts.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
